Felix Is Homer Simpson!

Here's Felix after his first night back at home. He slept from midnight to 8.30am with only one interruption for a feed at 5am. And now, in his special 'Felix and the Poobs' outfit, he looks fabulous except that for some reason he's pulling a very convincing Homer Simpson face.

Felix Is Released

Felix's blood tests have shown that even if he does have an infection he is fighting it without any problem and can go home RIGHT NOW with no further medication. Hurrah! Oh, and his BIG hand has been removed.

Felix's BIG Hand Is Back

Tests show that Felix has an infection in his blood but the doctors are confused because Felix has been doing so well since his operation. The infection means that Felix will need intravenous antibiotics for at least 48 hours while the doctors take another blood sample to confirm whether or not Felix has an infection. It means that Felix will have stay in hospital until saturday. And it means that he has to have his BIG hand refitted so the doctors can put antibiotics in him. BUT THEN, the doctors speak to each other and say that the infection is minor and that even if Felix has it, he can probably go home with antibiotics. Now Felix has to wait for two test results but, barring another development, Felix will be able to go home today at about 6pm. And he can have his BIG hand removed, which is nice. Avery is very, very pleased, not least because she's been in the same room for four whole days.

Felix Is Lively

Felix is getting lively after his series of good feeds.

Felix has been disconnected from all the tubes and stuff. He's slept all night, for 7 hours, after a couple of BIG feeds. And now he's looking almost like his cheeky self again.

Felix is awake after his operation. He's a bit pale and very hungry. Just a couple of hours and he'll be able to eat.

Felix has had his operation and is mended. Soon he'll be noshing away at mummy's boobs and not vomiting afterwards.

Felix is in hospital with pyloric stenosis! This means he can't keep any food down. The doctors will operate today after which he should be all right.
